Our story

Clydesdale makes polos, tees and knitwear in heavy cotton, finished with the jumping-horse monogram and cut in Yerevan for long days at the yard and longer evenings after.

The Clydesdale is the gentle giant of the horse world: strong, steady and built for work. We took its name because it describes the clothes we want to make. Pieces with weight and structure, that keep their shape through a long day and still look right in the evening.

The yard

Our starting point is the stable yard: early mornings, honest work and the quiet standards of people who look after horses. That world prefers things done properly to things done loudly, and so do we.

The pieces

Our polos are cut from 250 gsm cotton piqué that keeps its collar and its colour. Our tees are 300 gsm interlock, substantial enough to wear on their own and soft enough for every day. For cold mornings there is knitwear in brushed fleece, loopback cotton and merino blends, and a few finishing pieces: caps, socks and canvas totes.

The details

Small things, done properly:

  • The jumping-horse monogram, embroidered on the chest
  • Sky-blue tape inside the neck
  • Side vents with a woven tab
  • Clean, double-stitched sleeve hems

None of them is there for show. Together, they are what makes a piece a Clydesdale.
